This project was all about capturing that essence—the interplay of light, movement, and performance that turns each event into something unique. Through photography and videography, we translated the club’s identity into compelling visuals, preserving its fleeting moments and inviting guests into a world that exists only for one night at a time.”
Understanding the Project
La Voûte is no ordinary nightclub. Set within the historic vault of the former Bank of Canada, it has become a staple of Montreal’s nightlife, offering meticulously curated experiences designed by artistic director Félix. More than just a venue, La Voûte reinvents itself with every event, creating a world where set design, lighting, and performance merge to form immersive, thematic nights.

Creative Approch and Execution

The challenge of this project was to document the ever-changing nature of the club while maintaining a visual language that remained unmistakably La Voûte. Each night is different, yet the brand’s identity remains cohesive—an interplay between history, modernity, and theatrical spectacle. Our goal was to capture this transformation, ensuring that each curated experience lived on beyond its ephemeral moment.
Creative Development and Execution
From the very beginning, this project demanded adaptability. Unlike a traditional shoot where conditions remain controlled, La Voûte’s dynamic environment required us to work with shifting lighting, fast-paced movement, and an immersive atmosphere that was constantly evolving.
Using a combination of photography and videography, we highlighted the key elements that define the club’s aesthetic: dramatic lighting, theatrical performances, and intricate set designs. The challenge was to translate the mood of each event into visuals that felt as alive as the experience itself—where bursts of color, shadow play, and movement captured the electric energy of the night.
The approach also extended beyond mere documentation; it was about reinforcing the narrative of the brand.
