Éléonore – A Dialogue Between Heritage and Modernity

Éléonore stands as a balance between heritage and modernity, captured through a visual exploration of its volumes, textures, and interaction with light. The project is defined by two distinct materials: a clay-red brick base, grounding it within the historical fabric of the neighborhood, and an anodized aluminum volume, reflecting the sky and shifting light throughout the seasons. Through a carefully curated series of images, our goal was to translate the essence of the design by capturing its contrasts, materials, and spatial dynamics. Exterior shots emphasize the dialogue between surfaces—light gliding over the aluminum enhances the depth of the brickwork, while staggered balconies create a rhythm of shadows and reflections. Low-angle perspectives highlight the verticality of the sculpted volume at the street corner, while close-up compositions focus on intricate details such as the loggias and the interplay of textures. Inside, the photography explores the connection between transparency and structure, particularly in the double-height glazed lobby. Wide-angle shots showcase the seamless transition between communal areas and the street, while tighter frames highlight the richness of materials, subtle reflections, and the play of natural light across surfaces. From above, aerial views reveal another layer of the project, framing the building’s modern lines against the city skyline. These compositions emphasize the integration of heritage homes within the development, illustrating the contrast between old and new and reinforcing the overall design coherence. Each image is designed to faithfully convey the project’s intent and architectural identity. Created in collaboration with Blanchette Archidesign and MDTP Atelier d’architecture, with landscape design by Studio B, Éléonore was awarded Platinum at the Grands Prix du Design.
